Samsung is preparing to release the third One UI 7 beta update for the Galaxy A55 5G. This comes shortly after the second beta was rolled out in India earlier this week, which fixed a few UI issues and bundled the April 2025 security patch.
Now, a new beta build — version A556EXXU7ZYD5 — has been spotted on Checkfirm, suggesting that Samsung is internally testing the third beta update for the Galaxy A55 in India. To recall, the second beta has the firmware version A556EXXU7ZYD3.
Additionally, the second One UI 7 beta build for the Galaxy A55 has also been spotted for the Korean variant (build version A556SKSU4ZYD2), hinting that the second beta may soon arrive in South Korea.
Although Samsung hasn’t officially confirmed a rollout date, the presence of these builds implies the next beta release is just around the corner. It’s expected to bring further bug fixes and performance improvements, as Samsung continues to fine-tune the software for this mid-range phone.
As for the stable One UI 7 update, Samsung’s own rollout schedule indicates that the Galaxy A55 is slated to receive the final version in June 2025. However, given the recent delays and the temporary pause of the stable One UI 7 rollout for other devices due to critical bugs, it’s possible the A55’s stable update could be pushed back slightly.
If you’ve enrolled in the beta program, keep an eye on your phone’s Settings » Software update menu for the next beta release. And if you’re waiting for the final stable version, be patient—Samsung seems to be taking extra care this time to ensure a smooth and bug-free rollout.
