Breaking: Galaxy A55 becomes Samsung’s first mid-range phone to get One UI 7 beta

Samsung is finally showing some mid-range love! The Galaxy A55 has just become the first non-flagship Galaxy phone to join the One UI 7.0 beta program — and that’s a pretty big deal. While the Galaxy S and Z series usually get first dibs on major Android updates, Samsung is now letting its popular A-series users get a taste of Android 15 a little early.

One UI 7 beta is now available for Galaxy A55

As of now, the One UI 7.0 beta program is open to Galaxy A55 users in South Korea. If you live there and own the phone, you can sign up and test out all the latest features before the stable version rolls out later this year.

To get started, all you need is the Samsung Members app. Open it, log in with your Samsung account (the same one linked to your phone), and look for the One UI 7.0 beta banner. Tap on it to register, and once you’re in, head over to Settings > Software update > Download and install to grab the update.

The latest brings a refreshed UI, the all-new Now Bar, plenty of customizations, and some Android 15 goodies. Expect smoother animations, improved privacy controls, and more under-the-hood enhancements that’ll make your Galaxy A55 feel brand new.

The beta update is currently exclusive to South Korea, but don’t worry — Samsung usually expands its beta programs to more countries shortly after the initial release. So if you’re in India, the UK, or the US, keep an eye on the Samsung Members app — the beta banner might show up in the next few days.

This move shows that Samsung is starting to take its mid-range lineup more seriously when it comes to software updates — and that’s a win for everyone who doesn’t want to drop flagship-level cash just to get early access to new features.
