Only 8 Samsung devices will get Audio Eraser with One UI 7 update

The stable One UI 7 rollout begins early next month, bringing a host of new features and improvements to older Galaxy devices that will transform the user experience. Among the most exciting additions is the AI-powered Audio Eraser. However, the One UI 7 update for most Galaxy devices won’t bring this feature.

Audio Eraser is a Galaxy AI feature that helps remove unwanted noise or sound from videos with just a few taps. It can identify up to six types of sounds in a video, allowing you to adjust their volume according to your preference.

For example, with Audio Eraser, you can reduce background chatter volume and  increase the voices of your friends, creating a more enjoyable listening experience. This feature debuted with the Galaxy S25 series, and soon, more Galaxy devices will have access to it.

Audio Eraser is coming to these Galaxy devices with the One UI 7 update

Samsung has confirmed that a total of eight Galaxy devices will receive the Audio Eraser feature with the One UI 7 update. These include:

  • Galaxy S24
  • Galaxy S24+
  • Galaxy S24 Ultra
  • Galaxy S24 FE
  • Galaxy Z Flip 6
  • Galaxy Z Fold 6
  • Galaxy Tab S10+
  • Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra

Although these devices have already received the One UI 7 beta update, none of them currently have the Audio Eraser feature. Samsung might include it in an upcoming beta update or introduce it directly in the stable build.

If you’re wondering why Audio Eraser isn’t available on more Galaxy devices, the reason is hardware limitations. This feature requires a lot of on-device processing, and for that, the device needs a high-end chip like Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 or 8 Elite.

Even if your device isn’t on the list above, there’s still a lot to look forward to with One UI 7. The update will start rolling out in multiple regions from April 7, though some countries may receive it a little later. You can check the region-wise One UI 7 rollout dates here.

The Galaxy S24 series (excluding the S24 FE), Z Fold 6, and Z Flip 6 will be the first to receive the One UI 7 update. After that, Samsung will roll it out to other eligible devices from the Galaxy S, Z, and Tab series. The rollout will then expand to cheaper models.
