Samsung finally announces One UI 7 stable rollout date

After months of silence, Samsung has finally announced when it will start rolling out the stable One UI 7 update to older Galaxy devices. The company has also revealed which will be the first devices to get the treat, along with information on the rollout expansion to more Galaxy devices.

One UI 7 stable rollout begins in early April

Samsung has announced that it will start rolling out the stable One UI 7 update from April 7. The update will be available starting with Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+, Galaxy S24 Ultra, Galaxy Z Fold 6, and Galaxy Z Flip 6.

After the initial release, Samsung will expand the stable One UI 7 reach to these Galaxy devices in the following weeks:

  • Galaxy S24 FE
  • Galaxy S23
  • Galaxy S23+
  • Galaxy S23 Ultra
  • Galaxy Z Fold 5
  • Galaxy Z Flip 5
  • Galaxy Tab S10+
  • Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra
  • Galaxy Tab S9
  • Galaxy Tab S9+
  • Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra

After the initial wave, Samsung will bring the stable One UI 7 update to the remaining eligible devices.

Samsung announced the rollout details in a blog post. Samsung also says the new One UI 7 interface is built for AI which helps users interact with their Galaxy devices more naturally than ever. It offers a “simple, impactful and emotive design” and comes with a simplified home screen, redesigned One UI widgets and lock screen for seamless customization.

The update brings an all-new Now Bar that provides real-time updates directly on the home-screen, such as progress during a morning walk, the current playing song, and more — all with a simple swipe, without unlocking the phone.

One UI 7 also introduces smart AI tools that simplify everyday tasks and help users stay productive and creative. For instance, with the AI Select feature, Galaxy users instantly create GIFs while watching a video. The Writing Assist feature has been upgraded to work anywhere no matter which app or keyboard you’re using.

The Drawing Assist feature now supports multiple inputs such as text prompts, images, and sketches, and there’s Audio Eraser that isolates categories of sounds and removes unwanted noise in videos.

The deeper integration of Google Gemini lets users seamlessly access information. One UI 7 extends natural language search to Settings for simplified navigation. For example, users can say “My eyes are feeling tired,” and the Settings app comes up with instant recommended options such as adjusting brightness or enabling Eye comfort shield.
