Last month, Samsung announced that the One UI 7 update would go live in India starting April 7. With that in mind, Galaxy fans in the country were hoping to receive the Android 15-based update right alongside users in South Korea and Europe. However, it’s now April 13, and the update is still nowhere to be seen in India — even though it has already reached users in Germany, the US, the UK, and several other regions.
One UI 7 rollout could go live in India on April 14
A reliable Samsung tipster, Tarun Vats, has some good news for us. Citing the One UI 7 rollout plan for Vietnam, he says India could follow a similar timeline. This means One UI 7 rollout in the country could go live on April 14, starting with the Galaxy S24 series. Given that Samsung often follows similar regional timelines, India might not be far behind.
Here’s what the Vietnamese release schedule looks like:
April 14
- Galaxy S24, S24+, S24 Ultra
- Galaxy S23, S23+, S23 Ultra
- Galaxy Z Fold 6, Z Flip 6
- Galaxy Z Fold 5, Z Flip 5
April 23
- Galaxy S24 FE
April 24
- Galaxy S23 FE
- Galaxy S21, S21+, S21 Ultra, S21 FE
- Galaxy Z Fold 4, Z Flip 4
April 28
- Galaxy S22, S22+, S22 Ultra
- Galaxy Z Fold 3, Z Flip 3
While this schedule applies to Vietnam, it strongly suggests that India’s One UI 7 rollout is just around the corner. The delay has certainly been disappointing, especially after Samsung’s earlier announcement, but the wait might finally be over in just a day or two.
If you own a Samsung device that’s eligible for One UI 7 upgrade, regularly check for updates by heading to Settings > Software update > Download and install. The update size may vary depending on whether you were enrolled in the beta program. Expect a download size of around 5GB if you’re upgrading from One UI 6.1.
We’ll keep an eye out and update you the moment the rollout begins in India.
