After months of beta testing and plenty of anticipation, Samsung has finally started rolling out the stable One UI 7 update — and the Galaxy S24 lineup is leading the charge.
The update is now live in South Korea for the Galaxy S24, S24+, and S24 Ultra, with firmware version ending with BYCG. If you’re in that region, your phone should be ready for the upgrade, which weighs in at around 5.2GB. It also brings the April 2025 security patch, so you’re getting the latest in both features and protection.

The update has been spotted in Korea, but it might be rolling out in other countries as well. Even if you can’t download the update right now, it should show up soon.
If you’ve been testing One UI 7 in the beta program, your final update will be small and quick to install. The download size would be around 500MB. Other users will need to download a large package with a download size of around 5GB to explore One UI 7 features.
To check for the update, head to Settings > Software update > Download and install. If it doesn’t appear immediately, give it a bit — it might take a few refreshes. Before hitting the install button, you should review these steps for a smooth transition to One UI 7.
This is the first of seven major OS updates for the Galaxy S24 series, thanks to Samsung’s new software support policy. It will receive OS updates until Android 21.
The Galaxy S24 FE isn’t getting the update, though. ‘Fan Edition’ or (FE) versions don’t typically get the update around the same time as the regular models, and the S24 FE is no different. However, Samsung has promised that the update will land on this device by the end of this month.
