Samsung is now bringing the One UI 7 beta program to the Galaxy A55 in India. The beta testing first kicked off in South Korea last week, making the A55 the first mid-range Galaxy phone to get a taste of Android 15 and One UI 7. Now, Samsung has started rolling out the beta update in India as well, and it’s likely only a matter of time before other countries like the UK, the US, and Europe are added to the list.
Galaxy A55 users in India can join the beta now
If you’re using a Galaxy A55 in India, you can enroll in the One UI 7 beta through the Samsung Members app. Once registered, you’ll receive the update with firmware version A556EXXU7ZYD1. Just make sure you’re connected to Wi-Fi — Samsung has restricted this beta update to Wi-Fi downloads only, and there’s a chance this could become a standard rule for beta firmware going forward.
To join the One UI 7 beta program, open the Samsung Members app on your Galaxy A55 and tap the One UI Beta Program banner. Then follow on-screen instructions to register your participation. Once done, go to Settings > Software update and tap the Download and install option to get the One UI 7 beta update.
Before you jump in, be sure to back up your data. This is still beta software, after all, and it’s expected to come with a few bugs and performance hiccups. If your Galaxy A55 is your daily driver and stability is a must, you may want to hold off and wait for the stable One UI 7 release, which is still under wraps for the A55.
Samsung has also started rolling out the stable One UI 7 update, though it’s currently live for premium models such as the Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy Z Fold 6, and Galaxy Z Flip 6 in select regions. Sadly, the update won’t reach any mid-range Galaxy devices this month. So, you’ll have to wait until next month for the stable release.
