Galaxy S24 series gets One UI 7 stable update in the US

Samsung is moving quickly with the One UI 7.0 rollout. After releasing the stable update in South Korea earlier this week and expanding it to several European countries earlier today, the company has now begun rolling out the Android 15-based One UI 7.0 update for the Galaxy S24 series in the USA.

The update is currently rolling out to factory-unlocked models of the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+, and Galaxy S24 Ultra in the US. For users who participated in the beta program, the download size is around 400MB–500MB, while those on stable One UI 6.1 can expect a full update size of around 5GB.

Alongside Android 15 and One UI 7.0 features, the update also includes the April 2025 security patch. If you have any of the Galaxy S24 models and live in the US, you can check for the update by going to Settings » Software update » Download and install.

Android 15 is the first major OS update for the Galaxy S24 series. Samsung has promised seven such major upgrades for the S24 models. This means, they will continue to receive OS updates until Android 21. That’s a long way to go before Galaxy S24 users have to think of upgrading to a newer model.
