Galaxy S23 series gets One UI 7 beta 2 update with new features and bug fixes

Samsung has been speeding things up as we’re getting closer to the stable One UI 7 rollout. After pushing the sixth One UI 7 beta to the Galaxy S24 series today, the brand has now released the second beta update for the Galaxy S23 models, bringing several new features and bug fixes.

The second One UI 7 beta update is rolling out to the Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+, and Galaxy S23 Ultra in the UK and Korea. The Galaxy S23 FE isn’t part of the beta program. The latest beta update should also be arriving in more countries anytime now. It comes with the firmware version ZYCE and has a download size of around 1.2GB.

With the latest One UI 7 beta update, the Galaxy S23 models get several Galaxy AI features introduced with the Galaxy S25 series, such as the option to long-press the power button to access Google Gemini. The webpage summary feature also tags along to save users from reading entire pages by providing concise summaries.

Additionally, the update brings the ability to convert call recordings into text summaries. Users can also create their own stickers and images.

The update, however, doesn’t bring Audio Eraser and natural language search to Galaxy S23 series. These features are only coming to 2024 flagships. Audio Eraser can identify up to six different types of sounds in a video, allowing users to remove unwanted noise for a better listening experience. The natural language search feature enables users to search settings using everyday language. Unfortunately, Galaxy S23 users will miss out on these features, but there is still plenty to explore in One UI 7.

The update also fixes several bugs and UI glitches. The relatively short list of fixes suggests that the stable update might arrive soon. Samsung has already confirmed that the stable update will first roll out to the Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy Z Fold 6, and Galaxy Z Flip 6. After that, it will expand to other devices, including the Galaxy S23 series. The good news is that the Galaxy S23 series is set to receive the update in April.
