
Samsung has begun rolling out the March 2025 security update for its Galaxy S20 series, bringing crucial improvements to system security and stability. Available for the 4G variants of the Galaxy S20, Galaxy S20 Plus, and Galaxy S20 Ultra, this update is also being rolled out to 5G models, although it’s reaching a limited number of countries at the moment.
This update aims to make the Galaxy S20 series more secure, stable, and reliable. Samsung has worked to address and resolve several vulnerabilities found in earlier software versions, offering users a smoother and safer experience. In total, the March 2025 security patch fixes over 58 vulnerabilities. Of that, 11 are “critical” and 40 are termed “high-level”.
Samsung has also addressed 7 fixes that are related to Auracast, sensitive communication settings, the Galaxy Watch Gallery, Wi-Fi services, and more. These tweaks help ensure a smoother and more efficient user experience.

How to Install the Update
If you’re a Galaxy S20 series owner, you should have already received the notification for the March 2025 security update. If not, you can manually check for it by navigating to your phone’s Settings app, heading to the “Software update” section, and selecting the “Download and install” option. If an update is available, simply follow the on-screen instructions to install it.
