Samsung is continuing to refine the One UI 7 experience for the Galaxy A55. The company has now released the third beta update of One UI 7 for the device in India, bringing several bug fixes, performance improvements, and the latest Android security patch.
One UI 7 Beta 3 now available for Galaxy A55 in India
The new update arrives with firmware version A556EXXU7ZYD7 and weighs around 335MB. It’s currently available to users enrolled in the One UI 7 Beta Program.
With this rollout, the Galaxy A55 becomes the first Samsung phone to receive the May 2025 security patch, ahead of other models. This patch enhances system security and stability while addressing bugs reported in the previous beta release.

This update fixes visual glitches such as the missing lightning icon in the battery indicator, and a SIM settings issue where the wrong icon was selected on double-tap. It also resolves a camera bug that affected the Dual Recording feature and improves the connection stability with specific hearing aids during calls and media playback.
What’s new in the third One UI 7 beta for Galaxy A55?
- Fixed the ‘Lightning’ icon in the battery icon
- Fixed an issue that is focused with any icon when selected as a double tab in SIM icon change
- Fixed Camera Dual Recording Unavailable Pop-up issue of a particular path
- Fixed the issue of disconnection when receiving a call while listening to MP3 after connecting to a specific hearing aid
- Many other improvements
If you’re part of the beta program, you can install the update by heading to Settings > Software update > Download and install.
Samsung is expected to continue beta testing for a few more weeks before releasing the stable One UI 7 update to Galaxy A55 users. Once it’s ready, non-beta users will likely receive a bigger package with all these fixes included.
