Breaking: Galaxy S24 gets stable One UI 7 update in more regions

It’s April 10, the day Samsung promised to expand its One UI 7 rollout beyond South Korea — and that promise is being fulfilled. The stable Android 15-based update is now rolling out to the Galaxy S24 series in Europe

Samsung begins One UI 7 update for Galaxy S24 in Europe

As is usually the case, the One UI 7 update is initially reaching those Galaxy S24 users in Europe who had enrolled in the beta program. The stable build comes with firmware version BYCG and includes the April 2025 security patch. The update has been spotted in multiple European countries, including the UK, Germany, Poland, Italy, and Hungary. However, it must be rolling out in other European countries as well.

For beta users, the download size is around 465MB, while non-beta users can expect a much larger update — roughly 5GB —  as it includes all the changes from One UI 7. Samsung will soon release the update to non-beta users in Europe.

Before hitting the install button, I’d advise applying these five steps for a smooth transition to One UI 7.

More Galaxy devices to follow

After the Galaxy S24 lineup, Samsung plans to roll out the One UI 7 update to more flagship devices, including the Galaxy Z Fold 6, Galaxy Z Flip 6, Galaxy S23 series, and Galaxy Tab S10 series, throughout April. Additional devices will begin receiving the update in May and June, depending on the market.

Interestingly, One UI 7 might have a shorter lifespan than expected, as One UI 8, based on Android 16, is reportedly already in the works. According to recent reports, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7 may launch with One UI 8 pre-installed as early as July 2025.
