Samsung is making serious moves with its One UI 7 rollout! After upgrading its latest foldables and tablets, the company has now started rolling out the stable Android 15-based One UI 7 update to the Galaxy S23 series in India.
Galaxy S23 Ultra users receiving One UI 7 update in India
Multiple Galaxy S23 Ultra users in India have reported receiving the One UI 7 update today. While the rollout seems to have started with the Ultra model, the update should also be expanding to the regular Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S23+ very soon.
The update carries firmware version S918BXXU8DYD9 for the Galaxy S23 Ultra and comes with a hefty download size of around 5GB (yep, it’s a big one). It also includes the April 2025 security patch, keeping your device protected against the latest threats.

One UI 7, paired with Android 15, brings several exciting improvements. Samsung is pushing new Galaxy AI features, including enhanced writing tools, convenient call summaries, effortless image creation, and more. Alongside these AI tricks, you’ll find a refreshed interface, smoother animations, and a bunch of under-the-hood optimizations to boost overall performance and battery life.
How to update your Galaxy S23, S23+, or S23 Ultra
If you own a Galaxy S23 series device in India, it’s time to check for the update! Simply head to Settings > Software update > Download and install to see if it’s available for your phone.
As always, it’s a good idea to back up your data before installing a major update and make sure you have sufficient battery charge (or plug into a charger) during the process.
With the rollout now live in India, it shouldn’t take long before Samsung pushes the update to even more markets in the coming days. Stay tuned!
